Safer Gloucester’s NightSafe Group is anxious to ensure that revellers get home safely after enjoying a night out in the city. At the recent evening consultation in Eastgate Street, 71% of nightclubbers reported feeling safe or very safe in the city centre at night and 90% said that they used taxis or private hire vehicles to get home.

An exciting, brand new initiative will be launched at a family fun afternoon in Gloucester Park at 12 noon on Saturday May 12th. Paws on Patrol will be launched with a police dog display, dog agility demonstration and a novelty dog show. There will be several police dogs and other working dogs, doggy businesses and charities and all things canine at the park, so if you are thinking of getting a dog, come along and speak to the experts to see what’s involved.
