World Cup Domestic Abuse Awareness

World Cup Domestic Abuse Awareness Safer Gloucester will be joining the Police and Crime Commissioner's Neighbourhood Engagement Vehicle on the 9th July from 10am-3pm in ASDA car park, Gloucester.

There will be general crime prevention information available, but the focus will be the potential increase in domestic abuse incidents, during the time of the World Cup tournament. Nationally, domestic abuse increases during England football matches, especially if the team loses. Whilst England may have been kicked out at an early stage, the fear of living with an abuser will remain.

Safer Gloucester wants anyone who may be suffering to know there are support agencies out there who want to help you.

If you, or someone you know is in an abusive relationship, please contact Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) on 0845 602 9035.

In an emergency, always call 999.
