Free Dog Micro Chipping Event

By law, in England from 6th April 2016, it will be compulsory for all dogs to be micro chipped and registered on a government approved database.

In order to assist with dog owners who have not yet had their pets micro chipped, the District Councils have arranged to hold free micro chipping events on Wednesday 9th March.

In order to take advantage of this offer you can attend:

Gloucester: Oxstalls Tennis Centre 12 noon - 7pm

Stroud: Stratford Park Leisure Centre 12 noon - 5.30pm

Forest of Dean: Hawthorn Pet Supplies, Cinderford 12 noon - 5pm

Cotswolds: Kingshill Sports Complex, Cirencester 10 am - 6.30 pm

Cheltenham: Cheltenham Animal Shelter 12 noon - 7 pm

In order to take advantage of this offer, just turn up at your local venue. Dogs must be kept on leads and will be the responsibility of their owners at all times.

If your dog is already chipped then you just need to make sure that your contact details are up to date.

Thanks go to the Dog's Trust who are donating the microchips to Gloucester City Council.
