Most burglaries are committed by opportunist thieves. Homes or businesses that are not properly secured are easy targets, and in many cases burglaries could be easily avoided by following a few security tips.

  • At least 1 in 4 burglaries happen because doors and windows are left unlocked.
  • In 25% of burglaries someone was at home and was aware of what was happening.
  • Evidence from the British Crime Survey suggests security devices are very effective in reducing the risk of burglary victimisation.

Paws on Patrol Gloucester!

An exciting, brand new initiative will be launched at a family fun afternoon in Gloucester Park at 12 noon on Saturday May 12th. Paws on Patrol will be launched with a police dog display, dog agility demonstration and a novelty dog show. There will be several police dogs and other working dogs, doggy businesses and charities and all things canine at the park, so if you are thinking of getting a dog, come along and speak to the experts to see what’s involved.
