Abbey Alcohol Awareness Event

15/Apr/2011

Abbey Alcohol Awareness Event Members of the Safer Gloucester Partnership, including the Police and the City Council, will be at Morrisons in the Abbey Ward on April 15th to talk to people about the criminal offence of buying alcohol for under 18s.

Recently the Safer Gloucester Partnership visited residents in Abbey and were told that there were sometimes problems with young people in the park drinking alcohol or waiting outside the shops to ask adults to buy alcohol for them. This is actually a criminal offence and if you are caught buying alcohol for Under 18s you could be fined up to £5,000.

If you are worried about your children drinking alcohol email CDPartnership@gloucester.gov.uk with your address so we can send you a Parent's Guide to Alcohol.

Safer Gloucester Partnership will be at Morrisons from 4-7pm.
