Following the community meeting held by Increase the Peace at Parry Hall where some residents voiced their concerns about people carrying knives and weapons, Safer Gloucester is asking residents "How can we create a Gloucester where everyone feels safe?". It was agreed that no one group can resolve this, we must all work together.

Best Bar None, the national award scheme for alcohol licensed premises has enjoyed its first awards ceremony in Gloucester. Best Bar None aims to develop a safe haven in which consumers can enjoy the licensed trade in a responsible manner and reward those premises that have made progress in achieving that.
